No sunshine today. Just very dull she says, but a good day to take Ollie for his walk. He finds so many things to sniff and pee on. Why do dogs do this I ask. You need to check this question out in your books she says. It would be much quicker if she just told me. 

You should have heard her last night on the phone with a friend. Jeepers can they yack and yack. They talk about their week. The mistress says it is always great when they catch up. There is always laughter, and she advises me that it is very healthy to laugh and that maybe I should try it. Huh, I doubt it. Gnomes do things in secret you know. We do things when humans are absent or sleeping. My problem is I can't find any at this house. My mate at the last house, well he and I got stuck into the bubbly in the mistress's room while she slept. The family stored the plonk and glasses in there while the floor was being done. I reckon I might get through the fence to the neighbors and see if they have any mates for me. Otherwise, I shall be on my own here, and the mistress does her own thing. I got some peace this afternoon while she played croquet in Havelock. I am not saying what I got up to because it's Gnome business only.

Hey, it's Easter tomorrow.....yippee. I wonder if a bunny or chick brings me an egg. I shall be on my best behavior.
