 A Gnome life with these humans can be challenging around here. It is just not easy for us to have the opportunities that we used to have for doing our Gnome business. These humans don't go out so much these days and The Mistress doesn't go down to the caravan in Ashburton, because of her Moon boot. She says the steps are very difficult to negotiate. Crickey, we don't want any falls and more injuries around this place.  I just couldn't bear any more mobility issues around here. His Lordship had his surgery early this morning, and he will come home on crutches for sure. 

The Mistress will have to run after him now as a payback for him looking after her. No doubt she will cope hobbling around this small place with her walker, which she calls her Rolls Royce. I wonder what he will call his sticks...... chopsticks maybe???

They were awake bright and early this morning and the birds had only just risen at 5 30am. I reckon he couldn't sleep, but that is another matter. He is so lucky to have a daughter here in Christchurch, as she took him to hospital. The Mistress announces she is only allowed to drive her sewing machine!!!
