Now I have been wondering what His Lordship did while this chopping and cutting of his meat was going on. The animals or birds in our bench are very dead when the Mistress gets stuck into the meat on the chopping board. Did he sit and watch? I wonder. I can't really get my head around this. Maybe he went to sleep. I shall ask him when he gets home. 

His Lordship has appeared with his daughter. My goodness, he is a bit wobbly on his feet. I hope he passed his license to drive those crutches. I tried to look at the wound, but it was covered up to stop infection from getting in. 

I checked out with His Lordship whether he watched this meat-chopping operation. Did they use a saw for the bones, or did they use an axe? His reply was that they put him to sleep, oh he missed it all. I would have stayed awake. I find this process fascinating, and he chose to sleep. Maybe he will stay awake when he gets his other leg done because I really do want to know these facts about humans.

He is full of demands and wants everything now. The Mistress has a bell, but she better not give it to him because I can see him constantly ringing it. She has to return the care she received because he looked after her before. Now if she goes in for surgery and he is still on crutches, life here could get really interesting. She announced that we will cross that bridge when we get to it. There is no point in worrying now, as it is a waste of energy. Gosh, she is a wise woman.

His shower tonight had the Mistress on her toes. He thought he would get in without crutches. Her suggestion was no you will need the crutches. He soon learned she was right. She has rails in there, but the crutches were best until he was closer to the rails. 

His Lordship had ice cream and jelly for dinner in the hospital and was miffed that it wasn't being served tonight as this is not a hotel either. Gee, that was very mean I thought. But she says what passes the lips stays on the hips.
