10/7/23

The love birds went out this morning and as usual, we had no idea when they would return, limiting what we could do today. The weather wasn't much but we had a stroll around the garden and had a yack to our mates while keeping watch out for when they came home.

Now they didn't bother taking me again. I think they wanted to have time on their own and not have a gooseberry tagging along. Sounds like they went over to Sumner, over the hill to Lyttelton, and caught up with friends she hadn't seen for years, then on to another friend.

Those fellas and the female swimmers in the pool are moaning that the water was far too high for them. They struggled with the amount of water as some can't swim and needed to stand on the bottom. We did try bailing it out but that's a hard job for a mere Gnome and couldn't find a container. That is a job for a human we reckon. No wonder its full as it has rained every day since goodness knows when.

So, when they finally arrived home, I very politely told the mistress about our concerns and bingo she went out straight away with a huge bucket and poured on the concrete to drain away. She was very quick and finished it in no time. She tells me they were very grateful. We aim to please is all I can say!!

Thought for the day.

Always follow your dreams.

Even if it scares you a little, or others don't approve,

don't let this put you off...listen to your heart first and foremost,

and allow yourself to live without regrets dragging you down.
