Today we thought the mistress wasn't going to get up. It was after 10am. A neighbor also checked by text as her curtains were closed.   

Gee, that is a good neighborhood watch. The mistress is far from well and sleep deprived. She advised the neighbor and thanked her. 

So today she's rested while I keep watch from my prime position on the wall unit. But through the night it was difficult for us gnomes to do our business as we were listening out in case she got up. Luckily, she didn't see me on the floor and still hunting for these children's stories that the mistress has written. I had to hide behind her chair until the coast was clear. Another mate had hidden behind the television. He came out shaking when the coast was clear. Crickey, he took ages to calm down. We snuck over to the barrel and poured a drink for him, but then I needed to join him, as not good he drinks on his own now, is it?

We tried again after our drinks, but no she has hidden them well. We gave up, and I read up on this human behavior in my books. Gosh, this is very hard work. I think I need another drink. 

Gosh, she is up again, I took off in a cloud of dust. Oh well, I shall stick to reading tonight as it's much safer I reckon. 

I see tonight that she googled her name to see what was on there. Very interesting she says. 

So, we wait and see what happens tonight.
