 What a day we have had. Where on earth do I start? It was decided that we would go to Whakatane today, so off we went. All was going very well when cars, trucks, everything was coming to a stop. There appeared to be a fatal accident, and the road was blocked. Instructions were to follow detours. We did this but hang on, another roadblock. Two trucks had blocked the road further up on that detour, and we had a change of plan. Let's go to Rotorua instead. They could have been all day sorting these problems, so a better plan was hatched.

As we got closer to this place the humans and us let out a poo, rotten eggs they say. No, it's Rotorua. Blimey, they explained why the smell, and before we knew it, we were looking at these places that produced the stink. Nope, not us. we wanted to stay hidden in the backpack. The smell crept into the pack, and we were not impressed. Eventually, we came out of the pack for a look around and with a promise not to take us to look at the steam and bubbling mud.

His Lordship took over driving back and the Mistress rested. They had dinner with the daughter and her family. They did enjoy the day despite the obstacles. 

These 2 cats were mighty pleased to see these humans. They must have been hungry as they enjoyed their dinner.
