 Goodness, the mistress was up early yet again. She was off to pick up and take some oldies to another oldie and have a catch-up. Now these friends are the mistresses' late mothers' school friends so they are ancient!!!!. But hey I have to tell you that she even took me with her today. Amazing that she actually remembered. She forgets so many things these days, but boy oh boy all these ladies can talk and talk. They hardly stop for air. 

The mistress says that they haven't seen each other for so long and they wanted to hear all about our holiday. They were delighted to meet me and one of them even took a photo without my permission...how dare she not ask first. 

Now the house we went to she has made a small gnome garden and looks great. I wanted to stop and talk to these buddies. I reckon we could have shared stories about the owner of this place and mine too. I reckon this old biddy will buy more and try and keep up with my mistress. She has realized how good they look. 

There were lots of laughs looking at all the photos and you should have seen their faces when she told them stories that happened on our way around the North Island. They are so chuffed for my mistress and so far out of her comfort zone to do this without another human or partner. But hey she had me to talk to. She reckons it's not the same, but she did admire her own achievements. Life is about facing challenges and she sure did that big time. She has learned a lot these past few years. Maybe that's why she went grey early. This holiday meant she could focus on herself and not others for a change.
