The mistress was on a go slow today. She didn't want to push herself as wanted to go to croquet, not to play but to catch up with everyone. But first, she filled the clothesline with washing as it was a nice day. 

When the mistress went out today my mates and I hatched a plan. We are determined to find these children's stories the mistress has started. We went through all the books stacked beside her chair and took our time because we didn't want to miss a vital part, page, or book.  

We did find a heap of postcards and brochures of our holiday, so I was back living the dream. Ah, the memories, wonderful memories. I reckon there won't be many Gnomes who get to go on a holiday and do all the things that we did. My mate says he is jealous and asked me why the mistress didn't take some mates for me. We had a long discussion about how full the car was before we left, and all the fellas she bought. All 60 of them. A friend of hers suggested getting a trailer or truck to bring everything back. I pointed out that if she packed the car well then, we would not require either of them. She even put some stuff under the seats too. My mistress is pretty clever you know.

I found a brochure of the hot air balloon we went on. My mate just didn't understand, so I had to explain this all to him. He was gobsmacked. One day I will show him the photos on the computer if I can ever work it. All this took so much time, and as the mistress says, "time flies" and she was right. We heard the garage door open so there was a mad scramble to get back to our places. Both of us fell over too and only just made it as she came through the door. We saw her looking around as she walked through, gosh I hope she didn't hear us. 

That mistress is pretty switched on and her intuition is pretty accurate these days, so I wonder what she was thinking. I doubt we will ever know, so we need to be more careful when she is out and allow more time to get back to our places on the shelf.

Finding those children's stories will have to wait until another day💭💭💭💭 or night!!
